Money Stories: Jordanna Levin

Jordanna Levin is a trained journalist, conscious cook, event facilitator, podcast host, wellness and spirituality blogger, yoga teacher and editor. She loves tarot, crystals and the lunar cycle, but is also a sucker for schedules, practicality and good old-fashioned lists. Her first book’Make it Happen’ has been described as fun, practical and easy to follow guide to manifestation for a whole generation. Today she joins us to share her money story including the moment she decided to prioritise her financial wellbeing.

What’s one of your earliest money memories?

Being in Kindergarten and the Dollarmites people teaching us how to deposit money into our commonwealth dollarmites accounts.

How would you describe your relationship with money?

Much better in recent months but growing up my relationship with money was fraught. I put it down to something I would never understand so dismissed it and never bothered to educate myself on it.

Was there a particular moment where you decided to make your financial wellbeing a priority?

Yes! I was sick of living month to month and not ever having any savings. I was making decent money but nothing to show for it.

Biggest money regret?

That I didn't educate myself about it earlier.

Best piece of money advice you’ve ever received?

Don't touch your face. Don't touch your super ;)

Favourite thing to splurge money on?

So many things! Skincare and beauty treatments would rate highly. Do you think less of me now?

Proudest money moment?

Hiring a finance coach to help me get my shit together!

Where or who do you go to when you wanna learn about money?

Ms Betsy Westcott!

What would you do if you won $100,000?

If times were different than what we're currently experiencing I would pay off any debts and then take 6 months off to travel.
